About Positive Perspectives

The Positive Perspectives survey is an international survey conducted by ViiV Healthcare to understand the perspectives and attitudes of over 1,000 people living with HIV (PLHIV) about diagnosis, disclosure, the impact of stigma, HIV treatment, communications with doctors and the views of their partners and significant others.

Initial results from the survey were presented for the first time at the 2017 International AIDS Society Conference on HIV Science in Paris,1 highlighting key global trends about the emotional support that participants did and did not receive at diagnosis and the impact of HIV stigma on their lives. Results on the other topics explored by the survey will be shared during 2017 as the survey is currently expanding to include additional participants living with HIV, and partners or significant others in the same countries.
